The Baghlan power pole factory has produced 4,000 electricity poles during the first six months of the current year.
Mawlawi Naqibullah Nazari, head of the factory, told Bakhtar that it produces an average of 30 poles daily in various sizes. These are used not only to meet Baghlan’s local demand but also to supply electricity projects in neighboring provinces.
He added that efforts are underway to increase the factory’s production capacity to meet the country’s electricity infrastructure needs domestically and reduce dependence on imports.
The factory, operating for several years in Baghlan’s industrial zone, has also provided employment opportunities for many local residents.
