The Head of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment met with the leadership of the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to discuss ways of strengthening trade and investment relations between the two countries.
According to a statement from the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, both sides emphasized the importance of enhancing trade cooperation, encouraging investment, creating new economic opportunities, and expanding collaboration between the private sectors of Afghanistan and India.
During the meeting, the two organizations signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at promoting trade, increasing investment, fostering innovation, and expanding commercial exchanges between Afghan and Indian business communities.
The meeting also focused on opportunities for cooperation in the mining, oil and gas, food processing, and industrial sectors. Both sides agreed to organize trade delegations and hold virtual programs to strengthen communication and cooperation between traders and investors from the two countries.
The MoU is considered a new step toward strengthening economic ties between Afghanistan and India and creating new opportunities for cooperation between the private sectors of both countries.
