At least nine security force members were killed and five others were wounded in a Taliban attack on a security outpost in Nimruz province on Tuesday night, said Nematullah Sediqqi, a provincial council member.
The clashes took place in Muar village in Khash Rod district when Taliban attacked a security outpost, Sediqqi said, adding that “the clashes continued until 4am of Wednesday.”
“One Taliban was also killed in the clashes and nine others were wounded,” he said.
“The Taliban have taken three security force members captive and also stolen the weapons.”
However, local officials and Taliban have not yet commented on the attack.
