Lands Distribution process for refugees settlement in Maidan Wardak has officially commenced for 75 displaced families.
This initiative was launched by the responsible committee following a decree from His Excellency Amir al-Mu’minin, to address the challenges faced by refugees.
At a ceremony inaugurating this process, Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa, the governor of Maidan Wardak, emphasized that resolving the issues of refugees is a collective responsibility for all institutions. He commended the efforts of the relevant agencies for initiating this vital process, urged officials to act promptly and effectively in addressing the needs of the refugees.
Mawlavi Najibullah Hayat Haqqani, Minister of Urban Development and Housing, reiterated that officials of the Islamic Emirate are committed to resolving the issues faced by refugees in a timely manner. He stated, “Just as we united to end widespread occupation during the Jihad, we must also come together to resolve the issues of refugees now.” Haqqani highlighted that effective management of refugee-related challenges stems from the sincerity and dedication of the Islamic Emirate.
In the initial phase of this distribution effort, the Permanent Settlement Committee for Refugees, led by the Directorate of Urban Development and Housing, has allocated 5 acres of land for each of the 75 families. The larger settlement is being developed on an 800-acre site, featuring a total of 1,188 plots equipped with essential living facilities.
