Work on the CASA-1000 power transmission line has resumed in Panjshir province with the installation of pylons.
The project passes through the districts of Paryan, Hesa Awal, Rokha, Anaba, and Bazarak.
Governor Hafiz Mohammad Agha Hakim said the local administration is fully cooperating and there are no obstacles to implementation. Provincial spokesperson Saifuddin Laton added that compensation worth 25–30 million afghanis has been allocated for about 300 landowners whose property lies under the transmission line, and payments have already begun.
A total of 276 pylons will be installed, 14 on private land and 262 on state land. Provincial agriculture chief Qari Fazlullah Dioband said nearly 100,000 square meters of land are affected, with bank accounts opened for affected families.
Officials from the national power company stated that the project will create thousands of jobs and pave the way for further development projects in the region. Residents welcomed the resumption, saying it will boost the local economy and provide employment for youth.
