The Paktia Directorate of Industry and Commerce has organized an exhibition of locally produced goods in Gardez City, the provincial capital.
Mawlavi Mohammad Anwar Dinparwar, Deputy Governor of Paktia, said at the opening ceremony that the quality of locally produced goods is, in many cases, superior to that of imported products. He called on the public to support and purchase locally made products.
He described the organization of such exhibitions as an important step toward promoting local production and supporting the country’s manufacturers and industrialists.
Mawlavi Mohammad Azim Azimi, Director of Industry and Commerce in Paktia, said that dozens of stalls had been set up by various companies to display a range of locally produced food and non-food items.
Meanwhile, Zabihullah Ahmadi, one of the exhibition’s organizers, said the event aims to promote and market locally produced goods, support local producers, and create opportunities for the growth and development of domestic industries.
It is worth noting that the exhibition will remain open to visitors for two more days.
