Mawlavi Hamdullah Zahid, Deputy Minister for Food and Medicine at Afghanistan’s Ministry of Public Health, and Abdullah Azizov, Deputy Minister of Health and Head of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency of Uzbekistan, emphasized the expansion of bilateral cooperation in the health sector during a meeting in Uzbekistan.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Public Health, the two sides discussed expanding cooperation in the fields of medicines, medical equipment, health products, and food, as well as the exchange of expertise, transfer of technical knowledge, enhancement of technical capacity, and expansion of trade relations.
Mawlavi Hamdullah Zahid highlighted the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation, exchanging expertise, transferring technical knowledge, and enhancing technical capacity to improve the quality of medicines, health products, and food.
Meanwhile, officials from Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Health expressed their readiness to expand technical cooperation, exchange expertise, and implement joint programs with Afghanistan’s Ministry of Public Health, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation.
