The Head of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment met with the Governor of Uzbekistan’s Fergana Region to discuss ways to expand trade cooperation, attract investment, and strengthen ties between the private sectors of the two countries.
According to a statement issued by the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, both sides emphasized the implementation of previous agreements, the expansion of economic cooperation, and the creation of greater opportunities for joint investment.
Moreover, increasing Afghanistan’s fresh fruit exports to Uzbekistan and regional markets was a key focus of the discussions, with both sides stressing the need to provide additional facilities and support for traders and exporters.
