The country’s Foreign Minister Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi and his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, held a telephone conversation to discuss bilateral ties, facilities for Afghans residing in Saudi Arabia, and regional issues.
During the call, Minister Muttaq underscored the importance of expanding bilateral ties between the two countries and commended Saudi Arabia’s efforts toward fostering stability in the region.
He also expressed appreciation for the facilities extended to Afghans living in Saudi Arabia, mainly in the area of “information transmission,” and emphasized the need to enhance human resource capacities within diplomatic missions to achieve greater progress.
In turn, Prince Faisal bin Farhan reaffirmed the importance of strengthening diplomatic ties between the two countries and welcomed initiatives to boost the capacity of diplomatic missions.
He noted that regional stability is in everyone’s interest and stressed the value of dialogue and diplomacy in resolving ongoing conflicts.
