Sayed Karim Hashemi, Chairman of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, recently held talks with a delegation of Uzbek traders and investors to explore pathways for broadening trade, bolstering investment, and cementing economic collaboration between the two nations.
Citing a statement from the Chamber, Bakhtar News Agency reported that both delegations underscored the critical need to expand bilateral economic ties, elevate the scale of trade exchanges, and cultivate new opportunities for joint ventures.
The discussions further emphasized the importance of strengthening linkages between the private sectors of Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, while exploring mechanisms to facilitate enhanced commercial and economic prospects.
Participants hailed joint investments across various economic sectors as a pivotal step toward propelling bilateral commerce and solidifying the overarching economic relationship between Kabul and Tashkent.
Both sides also reiterated the necessity of sustaining ongoing dialogue to achieve their mutual objectives.
The meeting takes place against the backdrop of intensified efforts in recent years by Afghanistan and Uzbekistan to ramp up economic, transit, and trade cooperation, even as the private sectors on both sides actively pursue wider economic engagement.
