Mawlavi Hussamuddin Saberi, Deputy Minister of Mines and Petroleum, has underscored the importance of environmental protection and the standardized use of mineral resources during an inspection of mining operations overseen by provincial directorates in the eastern zone.
According to a statement released today by the ministry’s press office, a special delegation led by Saberi, who serves as Deputy for Finance and Administration، was formed in the direction of the ministry’s leadership. The team’s mandate is to assess the activities and operations of mining sites managed by the provincial directorates in the eastern region.
During the official visit, the delegation conducted close inspections of the serpentine mines in the Hisarak district, as well as the areas of Kanjaki, Lajigar, and Jakan.
Following a defined procedure, the team reviewed extraction processes, the performance of contracting companies, and other relevant issues in order to implement necessary reforms in mining operations.
To ensure professional extraction and transparency in the sector, evaluation meetings were held with the companies involved, and key recommendations were provided.
It was emphasized that all companies holding valid licenses will be regulated and managed in line with established standards.
Additionally, the delegation reiterated the importance of environmental protection and the responsible, standardized use of mineral resources.
