A total of 16,000 tons of wheat have been stored in the Baghlan silo for emergency use.
Mawlavi Abdul Karim Huzaifa, the head of agriculture, livestock, and irrigation in Baghlan province, reported that over 7,000 tons of wheat were sourced from Baghlan, more than 5,000 tons from Kunduz, and over 3,000 tons from Takhar, all of which have been transported to the Baghlan silo.
Huzaifa emphasized that this wheat will be crucial for meeting the needs of the people in Baghlan during emergencies, particularly in times of shortage or lack of availability.
Additionally, local farmers have expressed their support for the initiative, stating that purchasing wheat from farmers and storing it in silos is a positive step toward supporting domestic producers.
