Turkey’s Diyanet Foundation Provides 2,000 Food Packages for Destitute

Turkey’s Diyanet Foundation has pledged 2,000 food packages to assist Destitute families in Afghanistan during the holy month of Ramadan.

This initiative was announced following a coordination meeting between Sheikh Shahabuddin Delawar, Acting General Director of the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS), and Dr. Emrah Kandemir, an advisor to the Diyanet Foundation.

The meeting, held at the ARCS central office, highlighted the importance of this aid in addressing the urgent needs of vulnerable populations. Delawar described the provision of the food packages as a vital step in supporting families during Ramadan, a month of charity and reflection.

In addition to the food packages, Dr. Kandemir expressed the Diyanet Foundation’s commitment to further cooperation with the Afghan Red Crescent, promising to provide 200 sets of clothing for orphans in time for the Eid holidays.

Of the total 2,000 food packages, 1,500 will be distributed in Kabul province and 500 in Herat province, ensuring that assistance reaches those most in need.
