At least three people were killed in a car accident on Samangan-Balkh highway in northern Afghanistan on Thursday evening, the provincial police said.
The incident occurred in the Hazrat Sultan district in Samangan province when a small vehicle collided with a passenger bus, the Samangan police spokesman Abdul Munir Rahimi said.
He added that three others were wounded in the incident.
According to Rahimi, initial information reveals that the incident happened due to the carelessness of the driver of the smaller vehicle.
