Ten cricketers from Afghanistan have been picked up for the second season of the T10 League starting in Sharjah next month.
They are Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi, Mujeeb-ur-Raman, Mohammad Shahzad, Hazratullah Zazai, Shapoor Zadran, Najibullah Zadran, Samiullah Shenwari, Sharafuddin Ashraf and Gulbadin Naib.
Eight teams – Kerala Kings, Punjab Legends, Maratha Arabians, Bengal Tigers, The Karachians, Rajputs, Northern Warriors and Pakhtoons – will compete for the title in the 10-over tournament. Karachians and Northern Warriors are new additions in this year.
Each team has one icon player and Rashid Khan is one among. He will play for Maratha Arabians. Najibullah Zadran and Hazratullah Zazai are also in the team.
Mujeeb-ur-Rehman and Mohammad Nabi will play for Bengal Tigers while Samiullah Shenwari has joined Karachians.
Shapoor Zadran, Sharafuddin Ashraf and Gulbadin Naib have been picked up by Pahktoon. Mohammad Shahzad will play for Rajputs.
The tournament is set to kick off on November 21 and will run for 12 days until December 2 and it involves also players from India, Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, West Indies, South Africa, England and other countries.
