Deep discussions on the external factor of the Afghan conflict were underway with the US delegation while the internal factors of the conflict did not belong to the US, the Taliban say in a statement on Friday.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said in the press release that Afghan conflict has two sides one is foreign and another is internal, adding currently talks are ongoing on the external dimension of the war which involves the US.

He said detailed discussions on two issues — one the pullout of foreign forces and another on the no use of Afghan soil against any other country — were underway.

He said talks on these two subjects were underway and the internal issues which did not belong to US had not yet came under discussion.

He rejected discussion on other issues, saying some people may have no information regarding what was going on.

The fifth round of talks between the Taliban and US delegation was underway in Doha from the past one week.
