Officials in the eastern province of Nanagarhar say more than 1,000 development projects worth over 18.5 billion Afghans have been implemented in the province as some projects are still going on.
Atta Ullah Khogianai, spokesman of the provincial governor, says 1,074 projects were implemented or were ongoing in Nangarhar during the 1398 fiscal year.
He says the projects were funded by government and some aid agencies.
According to him, the projects were carried out in the fields of social safety, agriculture, rural development, health, nutrition, education, culture, infrastructure, natural resources, good governance, and law informant.
He says, in total, during the 1398 fiscal year 455 projects were completed and 619 others are still in progress, adding that some of them will be inaugurated soon.
