Progress on TAPI Gas Pipeline in Afghanistan

The construction of the TAPI gas pipeline has advanced by 10 kilometers, according to Homayoun Afghan, spokesperson for Afghanistan’s Ministry of Mines and Petroleum. In a recent video announcement, Afghan highlighted the ongoing efforts of the Islamic Emirate to develop the nation’s energy infrastructure.

As warmer weather approaches, Afghan indicated that the pace of construction for the TAPI project is expected to increase. This initiative is a key priority for the Islamic Emirate, aiming to enhance Afghanistan’s energy capabilities.

The TAPI pipeline, which will transport natural gas from Turkmenistan to Pakistan and India through Afghanistan, is regarded as one of the largest and most significant energy projects in the region. It is anticipated that the project will not only fulfill the energy demands of the region but also foster economic cooperation and strengthen trade relations among Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India.
