The Islamic Emirate’s local officials in Ghor province have freed 41 prisoners, including seven women, on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
This was announced in a press release by the provincial governor’s office on Sunday. The statement indicated that the prisoners had been released on the order of the IEA’s supreme leader, Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada.
The statement added that seven women are subject to this exemption among the prisoners.
According to the statement, the released prisoners committed crimes such as moral corruption, theft, bribery and drug trafficking.
