NSC orders streamlining of traffic system in Kabul

The National Security Council (NSC) has ordered authorities concerned to move all roadblocks placed outside buildings in Kabul into the premises.

A meeting, chaired by National Security Advisor (NSA) Dr. Hamdullah Mohib, instructed the Kabul governor and security chiefs to draw up a plan in this regard and enforce it immediately.

Participants of the meeting also discussed the issue of traffic congestion in the nation’s capital and assigned the Kabul Municipality with devising alternative plans, an NSC statement said.

The NSA asked officials to pay due attention to public security and keeping the city clean. He also called for arrangements to take steps for facilitating citizens’ movement.

The meeting also conferred on the situation in different provinces of the country, particularly insecure areas, the statement added.

The NSA underlined the imperative of expanding security operations in the areas where the enemy had been suppressed.

Security chiefs informed the NSA meeting that plans had been put in place and work was underway to implement them.
