Hamdullah Mohib, National Security Advisor of the government of National Unity government, left for the US to participate at United Nations’ General Assembly.
A statement from his office said he left for the New York city on Sunday.
Mohib is scheduled to address the general assembly on Monday. Last week, he postponed his US trip to ensure polling security and ANDSF deployment.
Mohib is going to represent Afghanistan at the annual gathering as Afghans on Saturday voted in fourth presidential election since Taliban’s ouster by US forces in 2001. The elections were marred by low turnout and technical problems in the voting.
