Abdul Wadoud, district police chief of Daman district in Kandahar, is among the 11 policemen wounded in a car bomb blast at police HQ, local officials confirmed.
In Daman district a car bomb detonated close to police HQ on Monday, said Jamal Barakzai, a spokesman for the provincial police chief, adding that “11 policemen were wounded.”
“The police HQ building is also damaged in the blast,” he said.
The local officials confirmed that Abdul Wadoud, district police chief, is among the wounded.
No group including the Taliban has yet claimed responsibility for the blast.
