IEA welcomes Lavrov’s ‘substantive dialogue’ remarks

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday welcomed Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s remarks that the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) stand’s for developing a more regular, sustainable and substantive dialogue with the (IEA).

Abdul Qahar Balkhi, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in a statement that the Islamic Emirate has always emphasized that as a responsible government, it is ready to have comprehensive and result-oriented discussions with all sides on common issues.

Lavrov had also claimed that Afghanistan is still a source of threat and that the cells of ISIS, Al-Qaeda and its affiliated organizations are present in the country.

Balkhi, however, said that “with the end of the occupation” the insecurity factors in Afghanistan have disappeared and the conditions for investment and the implementation of large projects have become favorable.
