Authorities in Helmand province have reclaimed over 2,280 acres of state-owned land that had been illegally seized by private individuals, according to the provincial Directorate of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock.
A senior official from the directorate told Bakhtar News Agency that a government delegation, supported by security forces, conducted the operation across several districts, including Nawzad, Washir, Sangin, Khanashin, Nahr-e-Saraj, Babaji, Marjah, and others.
The official added that structures built illegally on the confiscated land were demolished, and several individuals involved in the land grabs have been referred to judicial authorities for further action.
According to decrees issued by the leadership of the Islamic Emirate, the unauthorized occupation of state land and public property is strictly prohibited, and violators are subject to arrest and legal proceedings.
