According to local sources in Samangan province’s Dara-e-Sauf district, two coal miners died during work as a result of gas poisoning.
On Tuesday, coal miners were poisoned after breathing hazardous and contaminated gases while working in a confined environment of the mine.
The names of these two miners, who died in the coal mine in Samangan Province, are mentioned to be Sayed Ismail Roshan and Sayed Yahya Hashemi.
Mining without regard for safety in the country’s northern provinces has long resulted in the deaths of miners.
Four minors were killed in a landslide, previously, in Badakhshan province as they were digging in the mine that triggered the landslide and they were trapped inside the mine.
When the Taliban took power in August, many experienced miners fled the country, and their replacements lack training, according to a tribal elder.
Mine collapses, inhalation of contaminated, poisonous and hazardous gases, and a lack of understanding in mining safety standards are just a few of the cases that occur in the country’s northern provinces, and miners pay the price for this negligence with their lives.
The mining industry in Afghanistan is poorly regulated, and fatal accidents occur often.
