Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai expressed his satisfaction over the successful presidential elections held in Iran last week during a meeting on Sunday with Hassan Kazemi Qomi, Iran’s ambassador and special envoy for Afghanistan.
In this meeting, further strengthening of friendly relations between Kabul and Tehran and the current situation in the region were also discussed.
Karzai once again stressed the importance of education for girls and boys and considered national understanding to be necessary for lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan.
