Afghan products were displayed in more than twenty booths at an exhibition in India.
The Afghanistan embassy in India said that in this exhibition Afghanistan’s products, especially saffron, carpets and dry fruit were displayed.
“This exhibition has special value for our businessmen. This well help the sales of our products and we will connect to various markets in the world,” said Farid Mamundzay, Afghanistan’s ambassador to India.
Some participants at the exhibition said that this kind of exhibition can boost the country’s products.
“If we sold Afghanistan products to the Indian businessmen the benefits will be for farmers and businessmen,” said Sediqullah Popalzai, a participant.
“Dry fruit from Afghanistan is so good. Figs and almonds we buy it and give to others,” said a participant from India.
Meanwhile the Chamber of Commerce and Investment said that currently it has become difficult for Afghan businessmen to get an Indian visa and urged that assistance be provided to merchants.
“Traders are faced with problems in getting Indian visas to transfer goods,” said Khanjan Alokozai, a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Investment.
This exhibition will continue for 15 days.
