In a recent telephone conversation, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Atti emphasized that any post-war strategy for Gaza must prioritize the unity of the territory with the West Bank.
During discussions with Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Ranger, Abdel-Atti outlined Cairo’s key objectives in strengthening the ceasefire and ensuring its effective implementation.
Abdel-Atti underscored the urgent need to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, calling for immediate action to alleviate the suffering of its residents. He highlighted that any viable solution must involve the return of the Palestinian Authority to Gaza and ensure the active participation of Palestinian residents in the initial reconstruction efforts.
The Egyptian foreign minister reiterated the importance of restoring the legitimate rights of Palestinians, advocating for their right to self-determination.
