Dozens of civilians killed and injured in Afghanistan attacks

In northern Faryab province, 14 civilians were killed and injured in three separate attacks, said Karim Yorish, a spokesman for provincial police.

11 civilians were killed and injured in firing in Kohi village of Qaisar district. A roadside bomb killed one child and wounded another in Almar district. A 70-year-old man was shot dead in Sufi village of Qaisar district, the official said.

Meanwhile in Ghazni, one civilian was killed while 13 others were wounded when militants fired a rocket at Shaliz and Arz villages in the provincial capital, also Ghazni, said Tariq Aryan, a spokesman for Interior Ministry.

Nine of the casualties were members of one family, he said.
