Coronavirus Cases Rise to 337 in Afghanistan: Health Ministry

Wahidullah Mayar, a spokesman for the Ministry of Public Health early on Sunday said that 38 new cases have been confirmed, bringing the total cases in Afghanistan to 337.

The new 38 cases were recorded in Kabul (10), Herat (10), Kandahar (8), Paktia (3), Balkh (2), Samangan (2), Kapisa (1), Takhar (1) and Zabul (1) provinces.

Seven people are reported dead from coronavirus in Afghanistan, and12 others have recovered.

Herat has the highest number of cases–with 216–while Kabul is in second place with 53 cases.

64,771 people have died of coronavirus across the world so far, according to Johns Hopkins University (jhu.edu)

The number of confirmed cases across more than 180 countries has risen to 1,202,827, according to JHU, and 246,457 people have recovered so far.
