The Afghanistan Rugby National Team defeated its Pakistani rival during a match in Jakarta Palembang 2018 Asian Games, the National Olympics Committee said Saturday.
According to them, the Afghan team managed to score 15 points to secure a victory against the 7 points scored by the National Rugby team of Pakistan.
The officials further added that the National Rugby team of Afghanistan had earlier defeated the United Arab Emirates Rugby team 36-0.
However, the Afghan Rugby had faced defeats from Sri Lanka and Korea during the earlier games played as part of the Asian Games in Indonesia.
This comes as Afghanistan had major achievements in cricket, Football, Basketball, and some other sports during the recent years.
