The peace process in Afghanistan is coming to fruition, says Pakistan’s deputy interior minister.
“It is time for the world to do more now,” said Shehryar Khan Afridi, referring to the ongoing peace parleys between the Taliban and the US.
Addressing the 17th Young Leaders Summit at the Convention Centre in Islamabad on Sunday, he claimed Pakistan had done enough in the war on terror.
At the same time, Afridi added, Islamabad had also borne the brunt of the anti-terror campaign. “We will no more be heading to the do more rhetoric.”
He said Pakhtuns had always been a patriotic people and those criticising Pakistan were speaking the enemy’s language.
