Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has condemned the “genocide” in Gaza and called on Israel to end its attacks in the region.

According to Arab and international media, Prince Mohammed bin Salman called for an end to the war and “genocide” in Lebanon as well, during a summit of Arab leaders in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

Prince bin Salman also called on Israel to cease its “aggressions” and urged countries worldwide to recognize Palestine as a sovereign state.

Al Jazeera reported that members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) also attended the summit, condemning the war in Lebanon and Gaza and demanding an immediate end to this “genocide.”

According to news sources, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, said at the summit, “The actions taken by Israel against the Palestinian people are undermining efforts to achieve lasting peace. It is only with justice that we will be able to establish lasting peace.”

These statements come as Israeli airstrikes on Gaza continue, resulting in civilian casualties, including women and children.
