Afghanistan’s acting minister of commerce and industry met with a visiting delegation from Iran on Sunday amid ongoing efforts to attract foreign investment in the country.
According to a statement issued by the ministry, Nooruddin Azizi said the ministry was ready to cooperate fully with investors.
The Iranian delegation voiced interest at the meeting on investing in a number of sectors including mining, construction of roads and railway lines, establishing iron ore factories and solar energy plants.
Azizi said that investments in the country, that are in the interests of the people, will be welcomed by the IEA, which is ready to cooperate with Iranian investors.
