The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment said that agreements worth $45 million were signed between companies at the second Imam Abu Hanifa National and International Expo.
The acting head of the ACCI, Mohammad Yousuf Momand, said that products worth 50 million Afs have been sold in this exhibition.
He said that the traders from Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Iran and Turkey attended the exhibitions.
“Contracts worth around $45 million took place in this exhibition and women had more than 41 million Afs of sales,” he said.
“Around 500 small and major agreements between the Afghan and foreign traders have been signed,” said Khairuddin Mayal, deputy head of the ACCI.
Meanwhile, the acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, Nooruddin Azizi, said that many exhibitions have been held to improve the national products in Afghanistan.
“We have reached self-sufficiency in the medicine field, and we produce 15 types of medicines based on good standards in Afghanistan and provide it to the market,” he said.
Meanwhile, the head of the office of the Prime Minister spoke of improvement in the mine extraction and agriculture sector.
Participants called the exhibition important to attract customers for their products.
“We want the head of the ACCI to hold such an exhibition so the women entrepreneurs can sell their products,” said Tamana, a participant.
The Imam Abu Hanifa Second National and International Expo lasted for seven days. Officials said that 350,000 visitors attended the exhibition.
