The highest-ranking diplomats of Iran and Qatar talked about the latest developments in Afghanistan and efforts to help establish peace in that country.
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif held a telephone conversation with his Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani on Saturday.
In the conversation, Zarif congratulated the Qatari nation and government at the start of the holy Muslim month of Ramadan.
The two diplomats also discussed the latest developments in Afghanistan, and Iran’s efforts to help build a political consensus and form an inclusive government in Kabul.
