President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has said that consultations with different social groups has been concluded and action plan for upcoming ceasefire being prepared, according to a statement from Presidential Palace on Sunday.
The president expressed the view during a meeting with representatives of political parties, civil society organisations groups, youth and women activists here.
Ahmad Shah Zadran, on the representation of political parties, Maleha Malak Pur, on the representation of women networks and Matiullah Zalan, on the representation of civil society organization shared their suggestions and views.
After hearing them, the president and political parties, youth and all stakeholders in society reached a consensus on peace and the joint fatwa of ulema also existed in this regard.
“With the support of suggestions offered by you and other stakeholders in the society a new working plan for ceasefire was ready,” the president said.
Earlier, in Eid-ul-Adha the government and the Taliban entered ceasefire and the same is expected in Eid-ul-Adha.
