Afghanistan’s U19 has beaten England by 21 runs in in their U19 World Cup warm-up match in South Africa.
Afghanistan – who finished fourth in the last edition in 2018 – won the toss earlier and chose to bat, edging their way to 205 for eight off their 50 overs.
England was bowled out for 184 in their chase of 206, with Abdul Rahman dismissing Kasey Aldridge for the final wicket of the match with 16 balls remaining.
Afghanistan’s Noor Ahmad and Shafiqullah Ghafari picked up two wickets during the match.
The World Cup will kick-off in two days and Afghanistan is to face host South Africa in their opening match.
