President Ghani in a decree appointed Farhan Yusufzai as a member and head of Afghanistan’s Cricket Board, the Presidential Palace said on Wednesday.
Presidential Palace did not disclose further information regarding the appointment.
Yusufzai was officially introduced to his new colleagues on Wednesday.
Azizullah Fazli was previously serving as head of Afghanistan’s Cricket Board.
Before this, Lutfullah Stanikzai was appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Cricket Board.
The changes come after poor performance of Afghanistan’s cricket team in the ICC World Cup 2019 in England.
Afghanistan lost all their matches in the World Cup.
