At least 10 deminers from the HALO Trust were killed and 16 more were wounded in gunmen attack on their office in the northern province of Baghlan on Tuesday night, a security official who wished not to be named said.
The incident happened in Baghlan-e-Marzaki district of the province after a group of gunmen attacked the office of the HALO Trust.
The bodies and the wounded deminers were transferred to a public hospital in Pul-e-Khumri City, the center of Baghlan.
The Interior Affairs Ministry’s spokesman Tariq Arian blamed the Taliban for the attack.
So far, no group, including the Taliban, has claimed responsibility for the attack.
