The Ministry of Finance has confirmed that the recent suspension of trade ties with Pakistan has not adversely impacted Afghanistan’s overall trade. Officials reported that trade with neighboring countries and global partners continues to function smoothly and without significant challenges.
According to the Ministry, customs duties have remained stable since the severance, and commercial goods are being processed normally through Afghan customs. Significant measures have been implemented to support both domestic and foreign traders, facilitating engagement with alternative markets beyond Pakistan.
Furthermore, the Ministry reiterated its commitment to assisting local businesses in strengthening trade ties via alternative routes. the ministry pledged to enhance facilities in relevant sectors to further bolster trade.
