Repairs Begin on Five Schools in Herat Province

Herat’s Directorate of Education announced that renovation work has begun on five schools in the Injil and Rabat Sangi districts following the start of the 1404 academic year.

According to Mawlavi Rahmatullah Jabir, the provincial education director, the projects are being implemented in partnership with one of the department’s supporting organizations and are expected to cost over 13 million Afghanis.

Jabir said the goal of the repairs is to create a safer and more conducive learning environment for students and improve teaching quality both in the city and surrounding districts.

He added that the department is working with charitable and partner organizations to ensure more balanced access to education.
