The United Nations has announced that the reduction in US aid will not have a major impact on its operations in Afghanistan.

UN Deputy Secretary-General Rosemary DiCarlo told BBC that the organization enjoys broad support and that while some activities might adapt to changing circumstances, the overall mission will continue.

Last month, the United States contributed $2 billion to the UN budget, with the stipulation that none of these funds be allocated for use in Afghanistan.

Despite the cut in international assistance and reliance on domestic revenues, the Islamic Emirate is focusing on development projects and addressing the needs of its population.
