The Pul-e-Khumri Municipality in Baghlan province has reported a significant revenue increase, collecting over 109 million AFN in the first three quarters of this year.
Ahmad Fawood Hotak, Head of the Press Office of the Pul-e-Khumri Municipality, shared with Bakhtar News Agency that the total revenue for the period reached 109.6 million AFN, marking an improvement from 97.8 million AFN collected during the same timeframe last year. This represents an increase of 11.7 million AFN.
The municipality’s income has stemmed from various sources, including sanitation and cleaning services, issuance of business licenses, rental of municipal properties, and the sale of official documents.
Hotak emphasized the municipality’s commitment to exploring new revenue avenues to further enhance financial resources. He urged residents, both from the public and private sectors, to meet their financial obligations to the municipality promptly, which would contribute to better urban services.
