Mullah Abdul Hadi Yaqub, the Deputy Minister of Energy and Water, held a meeting with some elders of Paktika, stated that the project to transmit electricity from Ghazni to Paktika and the expansion of the province’s power network is among the ministry’s top priorities.
According to the Ministry of Energy and Water’s report, in the meeting, the elders of Paktika shared their problems and suggestions with Mullah Abdul Hadi Yaqub, the Deputy Minister, and called on the ministry’s officials to pay attention to implementing developmental energy and water projects—particularly the construction of dams, electricity generation, and power distribution projects in the province.
During the meeting, the Deputy Minister and several directors from the ministry assured the elders of Paktika that implementing solar power projects, transmitting electricity from Ghazni to Paktika, and expanding the province’s power network are top priorities for the ministry, and that execution will begin soon.
