Afghan forces carried out airstrikes last night on what the Ministry of Defense described as joint ISIS centers in Pakistan. According to the ministry, the strikes targeted a site in the Saranano area of Pishin District, Balochistan, as well as another center in the Qambar Khel area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and a third location in the Garam Chashma area of the Shah Salim Valley in Chitral.
The Ministry of Defense said these locations were allegedly being used to plan and coordinate sabotage activities and attacks inside Afghanistan. It added that the sites also served as coordination centers for bombing operations in which Afghan civilians were targeted.
