The spokesperson for the Kandahar Department of Agriculture reports a 32% increase in pomegranate exports compared to last year.

Mohammad Hanif Haqmal, spokesperson for the Kandahar Department of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock, told a Bakhtar News Agency reporter that 21,870 tons of pomegranates have been exported to foreign countries this year, while last year only 7,000 tons were exported from the province—indicating a 32% increase.
