Kandahar Municipality has begun work on a series of development projects in various districts of the city, with a total budget of 14 million Afghanis.
Municipal spokesperson Saifullah Asim said the projects include the construction of retaining walls, canals, drainage systems, and water channels in multiple neighborhoods.
He added that the work has created employment opportunities for dozens of local residents.
Residents expressed satisfaction with the projects and urged local authorities to implement similar public works initiatives in their areas.
