The Afghan parliament on Wednesday referred Kabul mayor Daoud Sultanzoy to the Attorney General’s Office for “failing to prevent illegal construction” and for other issues related to his leadership in Kabul city.

The decisions were made after Sultanzoy was summoned to the parliamentary hearing and did not appear.
