Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, Minister of Interior Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, met with Nicola Bellomo, Chargé d’Affaires of the European Union in Afghanistan.
The Ministry of Interior Affairs announced that during the meeting, Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, Minister of Interior Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, welcomed Nicola Bellomo on his new assignment in Afghanistan and described relations between Afghanistan and the European Union as positive.
He also expressed appreciation for the efforts and work of the European Union’s former representative in Afghanistan.
During the meeting, the two sides also discussed the continuation of bilateral relations, the expansion of cooperation, combating narcotics and continued assistance in this area, the country’s security situation, and further expansion of relations based on shared and positive areas of interest.
At the end of the meeting, both sides emphasized maintaining engagement and continuing cooperation between Afghanistan and the European Union.
